Galactica JV notes helium increase in State-16

Helium One Global Ltd said that a “significant” increase in helium was measured in the State-16 well at the Galactica joint venture project in Las Animas County, Colorado USA.

Partner and operator Blue Star Helium drilled the well in May 2024 before Helium One acquired a 50% working interest in the wider Galactica-Pegasus project.

Blue Star resampled the gas from State-16 during the current drilling drilling campaign on Jackson-31 and Jackson-4 wells.

Results showed a helium concentration of 2.17%, compared with the previous non air-corrected average of 1.65%, as well as 36.26% nitrogen and 61.56% carbon dioxide.

Helium One added that the well head’s pressure at 10 psig was a “positive indicator of reservoir connectivity and long-term flow potential”.

State-16 is completed for tie-in to production facilities.

Analysis continues of gas samples from recently drilled Jackson-31.
