FCM begins inaugural 500m drilling at Zigzag

First Class Metals plc (FCM) yesterday began an inaugural 500m drilling programme on the lithium, tantalum, rubidium and gallium Zigzag property in northwest Ontario.

Results: the company undertook only hand stripping of vegetation during the channel sampling (FCM)

Following FCM’s early exploration agreement with Whitesand First Nation (WFN), Rodren Drilling, a WFN approved service provider, is the operator.

Seven drillholes are initially planned over 50m with the provision for a deeper ‘step-back’ based on visual encouragement, said FDR.

Preparations started on 3 December with drilling focused on the central 400m to explore the areas of high channel sample results.

The programme follows grab samples and channel sample results, some of which were returned in October.

A “significant” number of channel samples showed >1% Li2O, including Channel 7 which returned 2.36% lithium over 5.5m.

FCM added that only hand stripping of vegetation was undertaken during the channel sampling.
