EnQuest plc founding chief financial officer (CFO) and executive director Jonathan Swinney will leave the company to take up the same posts at Tullow Oil plc.
Richard Miller, currently Tullow group financial controller, will act as interim CFO until Mr Sweeney joins the company later this year.
Mr Swinney has extensive oil and gas and capital markets experience and has served as EnQuest’s CFO since 2010.
During this period, EnQuest developed its business in the UK and in Malaysia and undertaken a number of asset acquisitions and major capital markets transactions.
Mr Swinney is a chartered accountant and a qualified solicitor.
He joined Petrofac as the head of mergers and acquisitions in 2008 before joining EnQuest after having worked in investment banking.
