EnQuest plc has appointed Rosalind Kainyah MBE to the board of directors effective from 30 May 2024, among a several management changes.
Ms Kainyah’s appointment is subject to shareholder approval at the general meeting on the same date, along with that of chief financial officer Jonathan Copus as an executive director.
On joining EnQuest she will become chair of the remuneration committee.
Ms Kainyah has more than 30 years’ international, legal, operational, executive and board experience in energy, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, private equity, financial services and manufacturing.
She has worked across Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia and the South Pacific for companies and organisations including Linklaters, Anglo American, De Beers, Tullow Oil plc, the United Nations environment programme, University of Oxford’s environmental change unit and ERM.
Ms Kainyah is the founder and director of Kina Advisory Ltd, and also a NED of discoverIE plc, Gem Diamonds Ltd and private company WE Soda.
EnQuest also announced that non-executive directors Liv Monica Stubholt and Rani Koya intend to step down from the board.
Ms Stubholt has completed a three-year term of office and will focus on her Norwegian portfolio, while Ms Koya will concentrate on other commitments.

“Both have been of huge support to the company during their tenures.”
Other changes see executive director and CEO of EnQuest’s subsidiary Veri Energy, Salman Malik, step down from the board to devote his time to Veri Energy.
EnQuest also aims to appoint a further NED.
