PROGRESS

Fugro GB North Marine Ltd, for Deltic and operator Shell UK Ltd, began the survey within licence P2252 on 8 September and finished on 14 September.

Interpretation of results of the survey’s initial phase will be followed, if required, by a second geotechnical phase incorporating the collection of seabed samples before the end of 2021.

“The completion of the site survey on Pensacola is a key part of the well planning process and represents another important milestone as the Deltic-Shell JV continues the preparatory works in advance of drilling,” said Deltic chief executive Graham Swindells.

“We look forward to progressing through the planning phase as we get closer to drilling this high impact prospect.”
