Cornwall Resources Ltd said it was progressing well on the £4 million collaborative programme to gather fresh geochemistry and geophysical data for a new centre in the county.

The company will receive up to £446,063 for its Redmoor exploration licence area to be used as a field laboratory for the Deep Digital Cornwall (DDC) project.
Four field assistants have been recruited and are implementing an extensive auger sampling programme and high-resolution gravity survey.
Cornwall Resources added that, as of early September, 532 auger samples had been collected and 269 gravity stations recorded.
“This is some of the most detailed exploration to be carried out in this part of the UK, and has potential to identify new mineralisation,” said the company.
Results from the work are expected during the first half of 2022.

DDC, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, also includes Cornish Lithium Ltd.
The project is led by the University of Exeter’s Camborne School of Mines and the Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
