Cornish Lithium NED and former chairman retires

Cornish Lithium plc non-executive director and former chairman Derek Linfield steps down from today.

From August 2016, he played a major role in developing the company including negotiating and structuring its mineral rights portfolio and initial fundraising.

Cornish Lithium said that Mr Linfield’s longstanding legal skills were pivotal during the company’s early stages of development and his contribution is greatly appreciated.

“I would like to thank Derek Linfield for his work initially as chairman and latterly as a non-executive director on the Cornish Lithium board,” added chairman Ian Cockerill.

“Derek was instrumental in the early years of Cornish Lithium working with Jeremy Wrathall to structure the key mineral rights agreements that have proved key to the company’s success over the last seven years.

“I look forward to continued engagement with Derek as a significant shareholder of the company.”
