Cora Gold Ltd has been awarded an environmental permit for its flagship Sanankoro gold project in southern Mali.

YANFOLILA
The grant follows the completion and submission in July 2022 of the environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) for the project.
Located in the Yanfolila gold belt, Sanankoro comprises five contiguous permits of Bokoro II, Bokoro Est, Dako II, Kodiou and Sanankoro II covering approximately 342km2.
“The award of this permit recognises the high standards that we have set for the company as we move forwards towards construction, with all environmental work being completed in alignment with the International Finance Corporation performance standards,” said chief executive Bert Monro.
The IFC is a World Bank Group.
