Conroy Gold starts 2021 drill programme at Clontibret

Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc has started its 2021 drill campaign at its gold target in Clontibret in County Monaghan, Ireland.

Discovery: Clontibret is one of a series of potentially multi-million ounce gold targets in the Longford-Down Massif (Conroy Gold)

Two holes are currently being drilled at the site and will form part of the work programme and due diligence by the company’s proposed joint venture Turkish partner Demir Export A.S.

The Clontibret gold target, known as Project Inis, is one of a series of potentially multi-million ounce gold targets located along the 65km (40 mile) new district scale gold trend discovered by the company in the Longford-Down Massif.

Part of the Clontibret target has a JORC 2012 resource estimate of 517,000 oz gold.

Project Inis aims to develop the gold deposit at Clontibret before construction and operation of a gold mine.

Conroy Gold has gold projects on the Irish Border and in Finland.

Chairman Professor Richard Conroy said that Demir Export had the expertise and finance to take Clontibret to mine status as well as develop the potential of the company’s other Irish gold licences.
