Conroy Gold to start step-out drilling for 3,000m at Clontibret

Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc said it aimed to start a step-out drilling programme in late April at its joint venture Clontibret gold project in Ireland.

Target: the additional drilling will speed the progression towards Clontibret’s development (Conroy Gold)

PROGRAMME

Turkish partner and operator Demir Export A.S. will drill eight holes totalling some 3,000m.

The programme is part of the JV’s plans to explore and develop further the new district scale gold trend along the Longford-Down Massif.

MINERALISATION

“The primary objective is to extend both the lode and the stockwork gold mineralisation, with the majority of the drilling focused on the stockwork,” said Conroy Gold in a statement.

“Both the stockwork and lode gold mineralisation are open for extension in all directions and to depth.

“The additional drilling will also add significantly to the geological understanding of the whole Clontibret target and speed the progression towards its development to construction ready status and bringing it into operation as a gold mine.”
