Conroy notes extended quartz bedrock at Armagh

Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc reported extended quartz bedrock by more than 100 metres at the joint venture Mines Royal option of Newtownhamilton in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland.

Exposure: of quartz breccia is interpreted as a continuation of a previously identified structure (Conroy Gold)

CHANNEL SAMPLING

Assay results from bedrock channel samples included a gold intersection of 1.0m at 6.5 g/t gold, with visible native gold also observed.

The programme was conducted over a bedrock exposure of quartz breccia identified over 100m to the northeast of the recent gold mineralisation discovery in February.

In addition, a channel sample collected from a nearby fault gouge returned 1.7 g/t gold.

Conroy Gold added that an 18-metre length exposure of quartz breccia was identified and interpreted as a continuation of the structure identified in May in outcrop and trenching.

The strike length of the gold-bearing quartz breccia zone has now been extended to more than 135m.

MINES ROYAL

The company and Turkish partner Demir Export S.A. were in March 2022 granted two Mines Royal options, Mines Royal C1 (Keady) and Mines Royal C3 (Newtownhamilton), in the Longford–Down Massif.

The JV’s three companies include Conroy Gold (Armagh) Ltd, Conroy Gold (Clontibret) Ltd and Conroy Gold (Longford Down) Ltd, each holding a licence or group of licences.
