Capricorn Energy plc has appointed Clare Mawdsley, previously director of finance, as acting chief financial officer (CFO).
Current CFO James Smith is expected to leave the company soon after eight years’ service.
Ms Mawdsley joined Capricorn in 2013 as a tax advisor before becoming head of tax in 2019.
She had held the role of director of finance since 2021.
Ms Mawdsley started her career at EY where she spent nine years working in London and Edinburgh.
She is a chartered accountant, a chartered tax adviser and a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
