Cadence notes completion of Lake Giles AEM survey

Cadence Minerals plc said a Tempest airborne electromagnetic (AEM) survey has been completed over the Lake Giles iron project in Western Australia.

Identification: the AEM will define targets ahead of drilling at the Lake Giles iron project in Western Australia (Macarthur Minerals Ltd)

Australian project operator Macarthur Minerals Ltd, in which Cadence holds a 1% interest, engaged CGG Aviation to undertake the AEM of palaeovalleys adjacent to the site.

CGG Aviation mobilised to the site on 10 March 2021 and the survey was completed across 970 km2 over five days.

The AEM to help identify groundwater targets ahead of drilling planned during the first part of this year.

The drill programme will test quality and quantity of water to support magnetite processing requirements.
