Block Energy plc said one of its shareholders, Forest Nominees Ltd, has called for a general meeting to consider the removal of a company director and the appointment of a new non-executive chairman.
Forest holds 31,308,000 ordinary shares, representing 5% of the issued ordinary share capital in the oil and gas company focused on Georgia.
The proposed resolutions are to remove Philip Dimmock from office as a director and that current non-executive director, Chuck Valceschini, be appointed as non-executive chairman.
The investor, which is the nominee of JP Jersey Ltd, sent a letter to Block requesting a general meeting in no later than 21 days time.
The news follows the resignation of NED Chris Brown.
