Arkle Resources plc has expanded its exploration footprint with three lithium licences in Zimbabwe.

Awarded in June, the “low-cost entry” prospecting licences cover 163 hectares in the Insiza District of the Matabeleland South Province.
Chairman John Teeling described the acquisitions as a “toe-in-the-water exercise” by the company’s directors who have long experience in the country.
CARRICKITTLE WEST
The company’s joint venture at Stonepark in Limerick Ireland has also progressed with plans for a follow-up drill hole.
Operator Group Eleven Resources Corp will drill several hundred metres north of drill hole G-11-2531-01.
The Carrickittle West hole was drilled to 642m with the target being a “significant sized zinc deposit”.
A further three holes will be drilled beginning in September, two on the western side of the licence block and one to the south of the block.
“Progress is being made in exploring the Stonepark block,” added Mr Teeling.
“The Carrickittle West hole discovered a major fault structure with significant vertical displacement.
“These structures are highly prospective in Irish style zinc deposits.”
Stonepark has an inferred resource of 5.1 million tonnes of 8.7% zinc and 2.6% lead (11.3% combined).
The company owns 23.44% in the project and Group Eleven holds 76.56%.
Arkle’s two other Irish projects are 100% owned gold-focused Mine River and Inishowen.
