Arkle to drill at Stonepark

Arkle Resources plc announced it was due to start a fully funded, six-hole drilling programme for 2,300m at its Stonepark zinc project in Limerick, Ireland.

Targets: Arkle aims to find a mirror image of Glencore’s Pallas Green zinc deposit adjacent to Stonepark (Arkle Resources)

PROGRAMME

The company’s 23.44% of the programme is €75,000, with operator Group Eleven Resources Corp. holding the remaining 76.56%.

The programme will include drilling two holes (250m and 400m) to seek an extension of the Carrickittle prospect into the Southwest of the Stonepark block.

One further hole will be a 100m step-out hole to seek an extension of the Stonepark North zone.

The three final holes will target earlier stage prospects in the South and two in the East of the block, testing new targets on the Limerick Volcanic Complex.

The three-month programme is due to start in the coming weeks.

Chairman John Teeling said that the campaign aimed to find a mirror image of the large Glencore-owned Pallas Green zinc deposit adjacent to Stonepark.
