Angus proposes new CEO and chairman

Angus Energy plc’s chief executive officer George Lucan plans to step down to become executive chairman in one of a number of proposed board changes.

CHANGES

The company said that the moves were in line with its vision of becoming a “significant player in the aggregation, production and storage of gas”.

As executive chairman, Mr Lucan will be responsible for stakeholder and governmental relations as well as strategic direction.

His replacement as CEO will be geologist Richard Herbert who joined the board as a non-executive director (NED) earlier this year after taking on a development and production role in September 2022.

Mr Herbert will be in charge of day-to-day management of Angus and responsible for developing the management team.

Carlos Fernandes will continue in his role as finance director.

Andrew Hollis will remain technical director but step back from his board responsibilities.

Paddy Clanwilliam will move from his post as non-executive chairman to become senior independent NED, alongside Krzysztof Zielicki, who remains Angus’s second independent NED.

Paul Forrest remains a NED representing the interests of Forum Energy.

The company expects to announce a further NED once appointed.
