Angus Energy plc said it had agreed a third deadline for Sound Energy plc to make a firm offer to buy the company.

Extension: discussions and mutual due diligence between the parties continue (Angus Energy)

DISCUSSIONS

In January, Sound made a possible share offer and the deadline for a definite offer was 2 February. The parties then agreed to extend this to 11 March 2022.

Angus today said that discussions and mutual due diligence between the parties continued and that Sound now had until 5pm on 8 April 2022.

The company added that the new deadline could be further extended with the Takeover Panel’s consent and at Angus’s request.

Angus said that there was no certainty that a firm offer would be made.
