Anglesey Mining plc chief executive officer Jonathan (Jo) Battershill will resign at the end of the year to become managing director of Silver Mines Ltd.
Mr Battershill is currently a non-executive director (NED) of the Australian company and will take up his new post from 1 January 2024.
He will continue Anglesey and help with the transition to a new CEO until 31 December, after which he will retain his position as a NED on the board.
“On behalf of the board of directors, I thank Jo for his efforts on Parys Mountain and Grängesberg since joining Anglesey in 2021, which have seen both projects advance significantly, and we wish him well in his new role with Silver Mines,” said chairman John F Kearney.
“We are pleased that Jo has agreed to continue as a non-executive director of Anglesey, and we look forward to his ongoing contributions to the company in the future.”
The company expects to begin the search soon for a new CEO.
