Anglesey Mining plc announced that chief executive Bill Hooley is to step down after 15 years in the role and become deputy chairman effective from 1 August 2021.
He became the company’s CEO in 2006 and has overseen operations for Parys Mountain as well as being president of Labrador Iron Mines.
Mr Hooley directed the completion of various resource upgrades for Parys Mountain, the 2017 scoping study and the QME optimisation work which led to the 2021 preliminary economic assessment.
He will continue to provide his advice and experience to Anglesey and assist new chief executive Jonathan Battershill as required.
