Anglesey Mining plc has appointed Andrew King as independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Mr King has more than 25 years’ experience in the mining and metals sector where his management roles encompassed strategic, financial and operational oversight.
He is currently managing director of Scanmetals A/S, a specialist metal recycling business based in both the UK and Denmark.
Mr King was previously group director-business development at Amalgamated Metal Corporation plc.
For fifteen years he held various roles with Standard Bank plc, including head of resource banking, global co-head investment banking and chief executive at Standard Bank Asia.
Earlier in his career Mr King worked with BMO Nesbitt Burns and Warrior International.
Other directorships have included Avnel Gold Mining Ltd and Rame Energy plc.
Mr King obtained a BSc in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa and an MBA from London Business School, UK.
