Anglesey Mining plc has appointed Robert Douglas Hall as a non-executive director, with immediate effect.
Former chief executive Jo Battershill has also stepped down as a NED of the company.
“I would like to thank Jo for his service to Anglesey in recent years, both as chief executive officer and, more recently, as a non-executive director,” said chairman Andrew King.
“His decision to step down as a director follows his relocation to Australia earlier this year to pursue a new opportunity in the resources sector and, on behalf of everyone at Anglesey, we wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Mr Hall is a qualified lawyer with more than 30 years’ UK and international legal experience, including in the mining sector.
He is currently general counsel for West Cumbria Mining having previously held the same post for Avesoro Resources.
Prior to moving in-house, Mr Hall served as a partner in a number of international law firms, including Norton Rose Fulbright and MinterEllison.
He has a background in risk assessment and project finance and has guided companies in the natural resources sector through complex negotiations, often across borders and cultures.
Mr Hall holds no ordinary shares or related securities in Anglesey.
