Altus Strategies plc said it had intersected high gold grades from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Diba NW prospect, in the Diba & Lakanfla gold project, western Mali.
RESULTS
The Diba NW prospect lies on the Diba licence, approximately 5km from the Lakanfla licence which holds the Lakanfla Central and Lakanfla West prospects.
Altus reported gold grades include:
8.74 g/t gold over 7m from 119m (not true width)
4.76 g/t gold over 12m from 102m (not true width)
1.16 g/t gold over 29m from 126m (not true width)
Altus added that its programme of approximately 10,000m of RC and diamond drilling was still in progress at Diba.
DRILLING
“Intersections of 4.76 g/t Au over 12m from 102m and 8.74 g/t Au over 7m from 119m (not true widths) are excellent,” said chief executive Steven Poulton.
“These new high-grade intersections indicate the presence of potentially enriched zones, or sub vertical mineralised structures, at Diba NW which will be the subject of follow-up exploration.
“Drilling is also planned at the Lakanfla Central prospect at the company’s 100% owned Lakanfla licence.”
MINERAL RESOURCE ESTIMATE
Altus will use the results for a revised mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the Diba deposit and a potential initial MRE for the Diba NW and Lakanfla Central prospects.
The company will then produce a revised preliminary economic assessment for the project.
