Alba Mineral Resources plc said it was reviewing feedback on additional data submitted for its plans to dewater the Llechfraith shaft at Clogau-St David’s gold mine in Wales.
ADDITIONAL DATA
In November 2021, regulator Natural Resources Wales (NRW) refused permission for the plans to obtain permits allowing the discharge of mine water, post-treatment, to the River Cwm-Llechen.
Alba subsequently submitted additional data and analysis and is now reviewing the feedback from the NRW.
“This feedback is being considered currently and may require further data generation by the company,” said Alba in a statement.
“The company and its technical advisers remain confident that the company will be successful in its bid to dewater the shaft.”
