The Association of British Mining Equipment (ABMEC) will hold the 11th Conference and Exhibition during November at Daventry, Northamptonshire.
The event brings together leaders from the mining industry including producers, the supply chain, Government and educational establishments.
Last year saw more than 200 delegates from nine countries, 30 exhibitors and 16 speakers.
To date, the following speakers have been booked: Anastasia Bolton, Satellite Applications Catapult; Thomas Davies, Energybuild Ltd; Andrew Fulton, ICL Boulby; Dr Chris Hinde, Pick and Pen Ltd; Mark Kirkbride, West Cumbria Mining; Paul Lilley, Terex Minerals Processing Systems; Gary Sinclair, Compass Minerals; Mark Smith, Department for International Trade; Declan Vogt, Camborne School of Mines; David Wragg, AB Ports; and David Young, Network Rail.
An extra half-day seminar, led by Dr Chris Hinde, will also be held to focus on the mining cycle, from exploration and investment to extraction and marketing.
It will also analyse the difference between resources and reserves, different mining methods, the source of the industry’s finance, where companies fit in the supply chain, and look at technical mining vocabulary and key phrases.
ABMEC’s 11th Conference and Exhibition will be held on Thursday, 25 November and the seminar will be in the afternoon of Wednesday, 24 November 2021.
The association represents the British mining supply chain including large equipment manufacturers, component suppliers, service providers and educational establishments.
