Tertiary sampling shows multiple copper soil anomalies at Jacks

Tertiary Minerals plc reported multiple copper soil anomalies from preliminary sampling results at its Jacks copper project in Zambia.

The prospect lies within exploration licence 27069-HQ-LEL, covering 141.4 km_²,
and located 85km south of Luanshya.

DRILL TESTING

In September, the company began the detailed soil sampling programme which it completed on schedule and on budget.

Sub contractor GeoQuest Ltd and Tertiary’s local partner Mwashia Resources collected 1,807 samples on a 200m x 40m spacing over four separate grids.

This was followed by sampling on three of the four grids at 100m x 40m spacing.

“Multiple soil anomalies were defined with a peak value of 535ppm copper and with sufficient ground control to allow for drill testing,” said Tertiary.

Chief executive Patrick Cheetham added that the results compared favourably with soil anomalies in the vicinity of various ore zones at current and past producing mines on the copper belt.
